Built in 1892 and grade II, listed this wonderful house has been restored with great care. Situated on the river at Maidenhead this private residence has been turned into a guest house but also offers private dining for parties of up to 18 in their stunning Oak Room. The room is said to be a replica of one at Hampton Court Palace, overlooking the river Thames with an open fire for cooler evenings. Price includes three courses, 2 glasses of wine and coffee.

Taken over in 2009 by the current landlord and given a face lift, this is a charming village pub with excellent food. Not a huge menu but what there is is very good and freshly cooked to order by Simon. GREAT VALUE as price includes two courses, 2 glasses of wine and coffee.

Recommended by one of our regular members and new to DWF. Nestling in a valley this country pub houses some of the best food outside of London. The landlord is ex chef of Maxims De Paris in London and they are listed in the Michelin Guide. A warm, cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff. Price includes two courses, 2 glasses of wine and coffee. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The Blue River Café is a superb riverside bistro, the ambiance is relaxed and comfortable and the food good. Once again we are back at the Kings Head and we have the entire Pavillion to ourselves so plenty of room to chat and mingle with other members. We hope to see as many of you as possible and bring your friends too. For just £29 you will be served two courses and a glass of wine. Guests are welcome to purchase more drinks from the bar. This is fantastic value and a great opportunity for members and non members to meet. Expect a sociable evening with traditional cuisine and a great selection of fine wines and ales.
